2nd Ultra Challenge – Easter Thames Path

April 6th Raising Money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Approx. 50km – (31 miles)

It’s the 6 April 2024, 4am and my alarm clock goes off ready for my adventures today. Travelling to Windsor to take on my 50km Easter Challenge around the Thames Path for MacMillan Cancer Research.

Today I was walking for the four ladies in my life that inspired me and gave me strength, all who had battled cancer. My dear Mum who 3 years ago underwent treatment for Ovarian Cancer. My dear friend and employee Amber who at the same time my journey started was undergoing and continues treatment for Breast Cancer. My friend Emma who continues with the aftereffects of her Bowel Cancer treatment and whom I will be eternally grateful for her openness and conversations that got me to where I am today.

And not forgetting my amazing cousin Sharlene, who through all her battles, sadly lost her life back in 2020 to Breast Cancer, but in her journey showed such strength and determination, love and care for others even whilst she battled with a nasty aggressive form of cancer.
